Lighting

  • Find a place with natural light (like a window) or use lamps, directing the light towards your face.

  • Avoid harsh lighting from above or behind to prevent shadows on your face.

Angle and Framing

  • Keep the camera at eye level for a natural look.

  • Record from the shoulders up or waist up – this is the ideal framing for testimonials.

  • Ensure the camera is steady (use a tripod or place the phone on a stable surface).

  • Smile, speak clearly, and at a calm pace.

  • Look into the camera as if you are speaking directly to the person you’re giving the testimonial to.

Sound

  • Film in a quiet room with no background noise.

  • If possible, use a microphone (even earphones with a mic will improve sound quality).
